Hi! Today, I thought I’d share another #weeklywishlist because, well, I haven’t done one in a while. Also, with the holidays justtt around the corner [eyeroll], my wishlist is getting quite lengthy.

Booties: I’m kind of on a bootie kick right now (wow that sounds like a Zumba move, I hate myself). I’m definitely gravitating towards a bootie/chelsea boot moreso than ballet flats these days. Maybe this means that for once in my life I can say I’m practical. I love leopard details, especially when peppered into an all black ensemble, it adds a pop of something while still being neutral. They’re Madewell, but I was only able to find them at Shopbop. Sizes are dwindling, so I might need to just bite the bullet and snap them up.

Earrings: These Loren Hope statement studs are such a fun little addition for fall. I like how they pack a punch, but aren’t giant boulders weighing down my head. Win-win if you ask me. Really though, I don’t have a pair like them and that rich merlot color is just the best.

Sweater: Don’t mind me, I’m just continuing my current obsession with cable-knit. Carry on.

Primer: This line-item is up for debate because I’m not quite sure what to look for in an eyeshadow primer. I just emerged from another decade, apparently, and don’t have one. I’ve heard great things about this one, from Urban Decay, plus it has some anti-aging magic. If anyone has any other recommendations I’d love to hear them!

Loafers: If a ballet flat and a driving moc had a baby, it might kinda look like these little gems from Kate Spade. What more could I ask for?

PJs: I feel really aggressive wanting these Christmas-y pajamas, like yes – it’s barely November, but think of all the lounging! Loungewear is important y’all, and how can you not love those little Santa gnomes? Also, this plaid pair is a must!

Pants: These Victoria Beckham pants are fabulous. I’m always a fan of gingham, especially in black and white. It’s so chic and stands in a definite contrast to the classic picnic table print. I would love these topped by a chunky knit or all buttoned-up. Also here.

Watch: Not to be trendy, but I’ve been eyeing this Daniel Wellington watch for a while now. Though I love a good “boyfriend watch,” sometimes those oversized timepieces look gaudy as hell. Not to mention, I feel like they overpower my wrist. I like how this watch has that really large face, but the thinner band tones it down.

Sunglasses: I tried these Prada beauties on at the airport Sunglass Hut a week or so ago and I can’t stop thinking about them. I don’t have a pair of sunnies in this light tortoiseshell, which means they’re an obvious necessity. I’m like kidding but also not…

Tray: Who doesn’t love a little crown motif?

Take the edge of your Monday like I did, with a little online shopping. I hope y’all had a great Halloweekend!

I have a seriously dysfunctional relationship with skirts. I don’t know what it is, but I just haven’t found one that I love and would rather wear over a dress. Is anyone else like this? Maybe it’s a lazy thing: you look put together, but it’s just one article of clothing. Throw it on and go. Whatever my issue is, hopefully I’ll get over it this season, because there are so many fun trends for skirts! Once again, the 70s vibes of fall are surfacing with suede fringe, leather, and patchwork. I also love the classic pleats, plaids, and button fronts. The mini skirts are darling paired with cozy knits (like those found in my last post), and the midis looks so polished with a bloused silk top. Check out the widget below for some more skirts that give me hope I can be a skirt person!

PS that fringe-y little number is linked in a lighter canvas color! The tan sold out.

Basic Cable

Hi friends, happy Monday! With the weather cooling down here in Madison, it’s quite literally sweater weather, and who doesn’t love a good cable-knit? When I think of the classic fisherman’s sweater, my mind first jumps to being around five or six at my grandparents house. Whenever I was chilly, I would borrow one of several sweaters my “Ahma” had knitted for either my mom or my aunt when they were little. They were the perfect, cozy, cabled cardigans with pretty brass buttons. Though those are long gone, they are definitely the standard I look to when on the hunt for a new sweater. I personally believe everyone should own a great cable-knit, and this season, there’s so much to choose from. It’s anything but basic cable with punchy colors, or fringe, or colorblocking, cable-knit is cool y’all. You can even incorporate it into your look in the form of leggings or even a poncho, whatever floats your boat. If you live in the Great White North, like me, you’ll definitely be requiring a chunky knit to keep you warm all fall/winter, and cable-knit is the way to go. Check out some of my picks in the list below!

PS: The fringey cable pictured above is 30% off (with free shipping) today only! Wooo Colombus Day Sales!

Life Recap

Hellooooo! Sorry I’ve been such a flake these days! This past week has been a whirlwind and I’m just now catching up on life! A few days out on the town and your body starts to hate you, I swear. I spent the weekend in Chicago with my best friend, Gabby (aka the brilliant person who named this blog), and our boyfriends! It had been a year since I’d seen her, so it was a much needed reunion. We basically just sketched around town for a couple days and it was the best. On Saturday night, we took in game 7 and celebrated the Blackhawks’ win. Y’all probably could have guessed I’m not the sportiest gal but I got pretty fired up along with everyone else in the Windy City that night! I forget how close/easy of a trip Chicago is for us Madisonians, and I definitely want to spend a few more weekends there this summer. I surprised myself this weekend and didn’t shop too much, which I’m sure came as a relief to my poor bank account. I did, however, pick up this little number on the last day of the Nordstrom sale! I’d loved this BaubleBar gold tassel strand online, so when I saw it in person, I knew it was meant to be. It’s a really fun piece for summer and is a nice deviation from the typical single tassel necklaces we’ve been seeing. It’ll also be a great necklace for layering, if I feel so bold haha. Unfortunately, I can’t find it online (and on sale) at Nordstrom, but it’s still available on the BaubleBar website, so click the picture if you’re interested! It also has a sweet little matching bracelet which might need to be mine as well. I hope y’all are having a happy hump-day!

PS: The coffee table book pictured is one of my faves. It’s not only great for inspiration but also really helped me outline my style. Get it here.

Hi! I hope everyone had a great weekend! I spent mine in Chicago, and I’ll be recapping that in tomorrow’s post. For now, unwind before bed with some retail therapy. Several of these things were inspired by what I couldn’t afford to buy while shopping around the past few days. Life is expensive y’all, and so is Italian leather. I’m wrapping up my evening with some tea, as it takes some time to recover from such a great weekend, so I’ll meet y’all back here tomorrow!
