Tory Burch for Fitbit

Happy Hump Day everyone! So, I recently acquired a Fitbit Flex. I must say, it’s definitely made me more active…does walking in place in front of the TV watching Real Housewives count…or? Really though, it’s actually kind of fun tracking steps and challenging yourself to go the extra mile (lol literally). That said, Fitbits are so ugly. Yeah, it might look cute and sporty when you’re running around town in leggings, but put a “real” outfit on and the Fitbit isn’t doing you any favors (ya know, besides counting your steps). I’ve seen girls try to add it to their arm party, and it just looks so out of place. This wrap bracelet is a chic solution! I’m sure you’re familiar with Tory Burch for Fitbit, as the bangle made quite a splash, but this version is so much more attractive. It comes in several different colors/finishes and is $175. Though it might seem like an added expense after already purchasing the Fitbit itself, if it’ll motivate you to move more, it’s worth it. Then again, I’m the queen of buying gym clothes so I’ll work out…Regardless, give this a try if you’re looking for a way to class up your Fitbit!

Subtle Sparkle

Don’t get me wrong, I love a bold statement necklace as much as the next girl, but lately I’ve also been gravitating towards delicate, understated pieces that can easily layer together. I actually think a subtle glimmer on the neckline/wrist can make just as much of a statement. So go ahead, pile on the fine gauge chains and pavé sparkles, they can still pack a style punch! This type of delicate jewelry also makes a great gift – don’t forget Mother’s Day is coming up!  No matter an individual’s personal style, a piece like those pictured above can fit into any jewelry collection.

Weekly Wishlist: Leafy Greens

Hello lovers, welcome back. I hope everyone had a great weekend. On Sunday morning I casually ventured to Target, in hopes of checking out the Lilly…but there was nothing let to check out! I knew this would be a successful capsule collection but was not anticipating bare shelves by 9am. The clothes didn’t have me very excited, but the home goods looked so cute in the lookbook.  My mom and I scrounged up some nail files and hair ties, but everything else was hoarded away by eBay entrepreneurs, it seems. So, in honor of Lilly, some tropical vibes are happening on the Weekly Wishlist!

Clare Vivier & Other Stories

Who’s seen the May cover of Cosmopolitan?  No shade to Madonna but yikes.  While perusing this noted journal of Christianity (haha), I discovered a fun little collab!  We all know Clare V for her fold-over clutches, like this one everyone in the world seems to own, but have you heard of & Other Stories?  I think I live under a rock because this was the first I’d heard of it, though it’s the second collaborative effort between the two labels.  & Other Stories is owned by H&M, which explains the forward thinking designs and European edge. Anyway, back to our girl Clare, this line is lower priced than her primary collection and includes the signature fold-over style clutch.  You can also find a couple bags, pouches, luggage tags, and even a perforated leather smoking slipper, all in brightly hued leather.  Have you ever bought anything from & Other Stories? They’re also doing a little collaboration with Vans, which is just as cool!
I hope everyone is having a Sunday funday, thanks for reading!

Happy weekend!  This was a wild week, so it’s nice to finally have some time to lounge around.  My first full week blogging was a success, but there is definitely a learning curve.  The main things I discovered this week are 1.) Instagram is so weird (why do users repeatedly follow/unfollow?!), 2.) Google Analytics is addictive (hello Russian readers!).  Beyond those things, I’ve also been pleased to receive so much positive feedback and encouragement!  If ya’ll ever have any questions, comments, even critiques, don’t hesitate to email me!

Today’s post is going to be another weekly regular.  Who doesn’t love going into the weekend with some sweet sales?  Here’s my little selection.

1.  This white lace Kate Spade dress is a must-have.  It’s appropriate for so many different occasions, and everyone should have a great LWD in their wardrobe arsenal.  Through Sunday, you can get it 25% off with code DEAREST.
2.  An ID bracelet is the perfect addition to any arm party, and thanks to Barneys Warehouse, this one is a steal!  It’s 18K gold plated and made by Ettika.  Warehouse is offering an extra 50% off all clearance, so this bracelet comes out to less than $30!
3.  I’ve been weary of the bucket bag phenomenon.  They just seem so bulky and awkward, however, this Halston Heritage take on the trend is gorgeous.  It’s fairly petite, but the bucket design allows for plenty of room for all your necessities.  Also, it’s coral, which is my favorite spring color. Shopbop has it on sale for 30% off!
4.  I’ve been feeling this whole flower-child-festival-style look as of late.  It’s not a style I typically gravitate to, but this BCBG relaxed peasant dress has just the right amount of chic to keep you from looking like a Coachella castoff.  Their Friends & Family event I talked about the other day is still going on, 25% off all full price!
5.  Turquoise is such a spring/summer staple, and I pair it with everything come this time of year. These earrings are more reserved than what we typically see from Kendra Scott, but they still provide a pop of color to any outfit.  Nordstrom has them at 25% off, along with three other colors.
6.  D’Orsay flats have been everywhere as of late, but this Tory Burch pair is the best.  They also play into the black and white trend, so two birds one stone, ya’ll.  They’re 25% off at Nordstrom!
7.  This little envelope clutch from Neiman’s Last Call is such a great basic.  I love how the orange piping adds just the right amount of color.  Right now, it’s just $50.  Such a great pouch to take on nights out.

Nude sandals ya’ll, get your head out of the gutter! Seriously though, could this little footwear selection be any more gorgeous?  Nude anything is a huge trend this spring and there’s no question why – it goes with everything!  Come spring and summer, flat sandals are pretty much all I wear, and I can’t wait to snap up a pair (or five) of these!  Which are your favorite?

In My White Tee

I feel like celebrities are always saying how the sexiest thing a girl can wear is a white t-shirt.  While that sentiment is nice and makes them seem super down to earth…finding the perfect white tee is actually quite the challenge.  For such a simple garment, a lot goes into it.  You don’t want it to be too sheer, it has to hang nicely, the cut has to be just so…maybe I’ve put too much thought into this (I have).  Regardless, I finally found it, the perfect, most effortless white t-shirt.  It’s from BCBG and right now, you can get 25% off thanks to their Friends & Family event!  Made of modal/poly, it won’t shrink, maintains shape, and doesn’t wrinkle.  This shirt boasts a relaxed fit and an asymmetrical hemline which elongates the torso aka you look like you just did a cleanse without even consuming a single drop of cayenne pepper water.  What’s not to love about that?  I’ve been wearing mine with leggings and flats but can’t wait to pair it with denim cutoffs and gladiators this summer!

April Showers

…Bring May flowers! Hey, I never said I wasn’t cliche. Yesterday’s post revolved around the sun and today’s is a bit more gloomy.  In all seriousness, it’s thunderstorm season, but that’s no excuse not to look your best!  Here are three pieces that will take you from downpour to downtown.  I love this J. Crew anorak, because even when the rain stops, you’ll look appropriate. I can’t tell you how many times I’ve left the house in an obvious rain slicker on a drizzly morning only for the sun to be shining by noon.  Essentially, this jacket will save you from that earth shattering embarrassment. These rain boots offer a similar insurance policy, because they look cool no matter the weather. How can one even fathom rain gear without picturing a pair of Hunter boots?  We’ve all been wearing them forever, but check out the detail on this updated pair.  Flashback to the fringe-y loafers every dad ever wore in the 90’s.  Really though, it’s actually a nod to traditional Scottish footwear – cue the bagpipes – and it totally amps up the style factor. Lastly, this Totes pineapple print umbrella is too cute to pass up.  Whatever monsoon you’re encountering, the cheeky print and bright poppy color are sure to lift your spirits.  So, next time the forecast sours, don’t fret, it’s just another opportunity for you to look great!

Le Specs

Paramount Glasses

Le Specs Paramount Sunglasses – $59.95

Happy Tuesday!  With the sun finally making an appearance after a long Wisconsin winter, I can now justify setting my sights on spring/summer goodies.  This means sunglasses ya’ll!  I’ve been wearing Ray-Bans for years.  You just can’t go wrong with a classic aviator and being super sun conscious, I love that they offer such high UV protection (literally they’re like military-grade).  They’re also polarized, meaning they’re glare reducing and offer a clearer picture.  Recently, however, these Karen Walker sunglasses have been on my radar. I love the circle-lens shape, something about it is so movie star glam.  That said, $280 is a steep price to pay for a non-polarized lens.  Then I discovered Le Specs, and seriously check these out.  There are so many fun styles, but my favorite are the Paramounts pictured above.  They have that oversized Audrey Hepburn look and guess what? They’re polarized, offer maximum UV protection, and come with a 12 month manufacturer warranty. Also, at $59.95 you don’t have to feel bad if you drop them in the lake this summer.  I can’t wait to get my hands on a pair!  What are some of your fave sunglasses?
